  Slow Horses is a simple but effective crime drama, revolving around a group who defect from MI5. 

 This 6-episode crime drama has been a real treat for weeks; you may wonder if it has been updated or cancelled.

  

  Led by the infamous Jackson Lamb, they become embroiled in a massive plot involving a terrorist group known as the Sons of Albion. 

 Slow Horses renewed for season 2?

  At the time of writing, AppleTV+ has confirmed that there will be a season 2 for Slow Horses. It's no surprise given the respectable viewing figures over the weeks. Apple also has a very good track record of updating its shows.

  At this point, it's also worth noting that viewers can look forward to a preview for the next season at the end of the sixth and final episode.

  What we know so far about season 2:

  At the time of writing, not much is known about season 2, other than a sneak peek at the end of episode 6. We won't reveal it here for the sake of spoilers, but it looks like season 2 may be adapted into the second book. A series of slow horses, called "Dead Lions".

  It's not 100% confirmed, but if our suspicions are correct, the book's synopsis gives some clues as to where season 2 could be headed. It reads:

  "In the purgatory of the Intelligence Service that is Slough House, where spies, derisively called slow horses, are sent to finish what's left of their careers, their boss, Jackson Lamb, goes to Oxford. Ex-horrible found dead on bus.

  Not an obvious target for assassination, Dickie Bowe was a talented streetwalker at the time. He is able to follow people and bring their secrets home. Dickie Jackson was in Berlin with Lamb. Now Lamb has the phone, which contains Dickie's latest secret, and has reason to believe that an old Moscow-style operation is being run in the Intelligence Service's back yard.

  Once a creep, always a creep, and Dickie was one of them. Jackson Lamb and his gang of desperadoes are about to go live to uncover the secret of Dickie's dying.

  For now, we'll have to wait and see what Apple has in store for us and whether they faithfully adapt the material or go in their own direction.
